Sushi Samba is a cocktail and sushi bar located on the 38th floor of the Heron Tower.
It is my favourite bar in London because the greeters are glamorous and friendly, cocktails are sophisticated and the design is modern. I’ve been there a couple of times now and it’s always a special experience and different. You do not necessarily have to be a sushi lover to enjoy this place. It’s a place where fashion, food and fun cross paths. Sushisamba serves a mix of Japanese, Peruvian and Brazilian cuisine. It is a great place for celebrating special occasions. The Service is outstanding, the food delicious and the view simply breathtaking. My Insider tip? Try to get a table next to the bar and the windows to enjoy the view. Also, table 26 is the best table indoors.
My favourite drinks are SHISO FINE (it is herbaceous, citrusy with Japanese shiso leaves, crème de pêche, red Thai basil syrup, apple and lime) and NINA FRESA (vodka, shaken with freshly squeezed lime, grapefruit, rhubarb bitters with strawberry purée).
The views are outstanding. You look down on most of the 180-meter Gherkin, you can see across to Canary Wharf and St. Pauls.
The Samba Rolls are amazing. My favourites are EL TOPO with salmon, jalapeño, shiso leaf, fresh melted mozzarella and crispy onion.http://sushisamba.com/LOCATION/LONDON
